Laing O鈥橰ourke, Kier and Kaden in deal with the MTR Corporation
A joint venture between Laing O鈥橰ourke, Kier and Kaden has been awarded a 拢190m contract by the MTR Corporation as part of the South Island Line Project in Hong Kong.
Known as Contract 901, the project involves the delivery of a key piece of infrastructure at Admiralty station and is part of MTR鈥檚 plans to extend the Hong Kong railway network.
Works will include the construction of four new platforms, an interchange concourse, the relocation of existing passenger entrances and external landscaping.
The MTR network carries an average four million passengers each day, with the Tsuen Wan Line alone designed to carry up to 85,000 passengers per hour.
Admiralty station will remain open throughout the four year construction programme.
