Commercial Estates Group, Yuill Homes and Keepmoat chosen to develop Central Park masterplan

A consortium of three developers has been appointed by Tees Valley Regeneration to develop Darlington鈥檚 Central Park masterplan.

Commercial Estates Group, Yuill Homes and Keepmoat will work together on the 拢200m development which is expected to create 2000 new jobs in the area.

Commercial Estates Group will oversee the commercial and leisure elements of the development and Keepmoat and Yuill will focus on the housing.

The development will deliver 600 new homes and other elements including offices, restaurants, bars and a hotel.

Jon Kenny, development director at Commercial Estates Group said: 鈥淭he existing status of Darlington and its strategic location and profile alongside the new college creates a great opportunity to develop a high quality scheme.鈥

David Mullins, managing director of Yuill Homes, said: 鈥淎 great deal of work has already been undertaken to get where we are today and this careful preparation will result in a high quality and sustainable development.鈥
