Public sector services consultant Tribal has sold Nightingale Architects for 拢13.1m to the UK subsidiary of Canadian design group IBI
Nightingale employs 260 staff across seven offices and turned over 拢17.4m in 2009. It specialises in education, health and science.
A statement to the stock exchange on Tuesday said the senior management team would transfer with the business.
Peter Martin, chief executive of Tribal, said: 鈥淚n Tribal鈥檚 core markets we provide service delivery, advisory and technology solutions, so Nightingale is no longer central to our strategic direction. We wish both parties success in the future.鈥
Of the 拢13.1m, 拢4.2m will be dependent on profit made by Nightingale up to April 2012.
