Tribal Group has posted improved interim results for the six months ended 30 September.
The group, which has just shut Urban Futures, its sustainable communities arm, reported revenue of 拢98m, a rise of 20% on its interims for the same period last year. Its pre-tax profit was 拢7.3m, an increase of 7%.
Henry Pitman, Tribal鈥檚 chief executive, said: 鈥淲e鈥檝e had a solid performance and, with market conditions buoyant, the group is well placed to benefit from opportunities emerging from public sector reform.鈥
Strone Macpherson, the chairman, said: 鈥淭here is strong consulting demand and increasing evidence of long-term outsourcing opportunities, particularly in education and health. There is some softness in the recruitment advertising market and in healthcare PFI, where several contracts have been delayed.鈥
Tribal has also signed a three-year 拢12m contract with the Department of Education and Skills to develop the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics.
