He was the firm鈥檚 procurement and supply chain director and will reprise the role at his new employer.

NMCN collapsed at the start of October with a report by the administrators later revealing that close to 150 firms have been left owed 拢100,000 or more by its implosion.

Swanston spent more than six years in procurement at Laing O鈥橰ourke which has appointed a new head of people for its Europe hub.

Rae Avatar Barnett joined earlier this week and comes from energy business Centrica, where she worked in commercial transformation, HR delivery and talent management.

O鈥橰ourke鈥檚 Europe hub includes the firm鈥檚 UK, Middle East and Canada operations and its largest business, Laing O鈥橰ourke plc, which last week said that pre-tax profit in the year to March 2021 had more than halved to 拢4.9m on turnover down 8% to 拢1.5bn.
