Three bidders have been shortlisted for the job to design and build a passenger tunnel link between the Crossrail and Bakerloo line platforms at Paddington Station
Transport for London said it had shortlisted bidders for the £55m job:
- a Costain and Skanska joint venture
- Dragados S.A
- a Morgan Sindall and BeMo Tunnelling joint venture
The project is aimed at alleviating congestion from the additional passengers who will be interchanging between Crossrail and the Bakerloo line.
Miles Ashley, London Underground’s programme director of Crossrail and stations, said: “The building of the tunnel link is essential to support the increase in passengers when Crossrail starts serving the station at the end of 2018.
