Oxford Brookes University has appointed Turner & Townsend, Arup and architects Berman Guedes Stretton to oversee the 拢130m transformation of its estate.

The framework is part of the university鈥檚 ten-year improvement plan to strengthen its position. It has already been used for the revamp of two buildings 鈥 a 拢20m refit of the Clerici building into the new home for the faculty of business and the refurbishment of the Sinclair building, home to the psychology department.

Sue Holmes, director of estates at Oxford Brookes University and current chair of the Association of University Directors of Estates, said: 鈥淚n order to continue to attract and retain high-calibre staff and students, Oxford Brookes University needs to ensure that its excellent reputation for teaching and research is matched by a high-quality estate.鈥

T&T has previously worked with Oxford Brookes University to refurbish the John Henry Brookes building and director Tim Jervis said the firm was 鈥渢hrilled鈥 to be working with the university again.

He added that the 鈥渂ig challenge is to continue to deliver cost-effective schemes off the back of such success with the John Henry Brookes building鈥.
