Scheme will be at eastern end of Liverpool Street station
Transport for London has signed another deal with Aviva to develop a Crossrail overstation site designed by Eric Parry Architects at Liverpool Street station.
The station in the City of London is being built by Laing O鈥橰ourke with the planned nine-storey building one of 12 planned above and around Crossrail sites.
Subject to planning approval, the building will contain 175,000ft虏 of lettable office and retail space at the eastern station entrance at 1 Liverpool Street.
Aviva鈥檚 head of development James Stevens said: 鈥淭his is undoubtably one of the best development sites in the City of London.鈥
TfL and Aviva have already signed an agreement to develop a site opposite the station鈥檚 western entrance at 101 Moorgate which has been designed by John Robertson Architects.
This scheme will comprise six floors of office space above the Moorgate Crossrail shaft and retail at ground floor level.
Other buildings set to be built above Crossrail stations include a 拢50m office block designed by PLP above Bond Street 鈥 due to be built by Multiplex 鈥 and a 拢195m scheme above Tottenham Court Road which is being developed by Derwent. Contractor on the AHMM-designed job, called Soho Place, is Laing O鈥橰ourke.
