Taylor Wimpey and London Quadrant win Chobham Manor job
Taylor Wimpey and London Quadrant have won the job to develop the first of five neighbourhoods to be built within the Olympic Park after the games.
The firms were chosen to develop Chobham Manor from which included East Thames and Countryside Properties, and Barratt Homes and the Le Frak Organisation.
Taylor Wimpey and London Quadrant will be working with architects PRP, Make and Karakusevic Carson.
The 9.3ha 870-home Chobham Manor development will be sited between the athletes鈥 village and the VeloPark and is designed as tree-lined avenues of terraced and mews homes.
Seventy percent of Chobham Manor is scheduled to be family housing, and the Olympic Park Legacy Company has said 40% of the properties would have gardens.
Work is expected to begin in October, with the first homes completed in 2014.
