ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV’s campaign to support a code banning anti competitive practice has being backed by the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust.
The Trust works with government, schools, companies and individuals to create healthier urban communities by improving urban design, enterprise, regeneration and sustainability.
The aim of the ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV Trust campaign is to support an industry-wide code of conduct banning anti-competitive practices to help restore clients’ confidence in the construction after the OFT investigation into bid rigging.
Other campaign backers include Gleeds, Davis Langdon, Hammerson, the Construction Confederation, Federation of Master builders, Construction Products Association and Construction Industry Council.
We are also asking organisations to let us know what they think should be included in the code.
At this stage we are only asking people to sign up to support the idea of a code. Names and companies will not be associated with what is written in the code itself unless they agree to this at a later date. A code will be presented to the government later in the year.
To pledge your support please email rebuildingtrust@building.co.uk with your name, company name and job title and add any comments or ideas you have for what should be included in the code.
