£34m plan to expand Cambridge Judge Business School at Old Addenbrooke hospital
Stanton Williams has won planning for the first phase of the masterplan for the Cambridge Judge Business School at the Old Addenbrooke hospital in the city centre.
The £34m project will see the grade II listed hospital joined by a new four-storey building which will provide additional teaching, office and breakout spaces for the school, while improving the outside streetscape.
The expansion has been designed to create a unified appearance for the site by drawing on the character and materials of the original hospital with a strong rhythm of brick buttresses and finer stone columns on the Matthew Digby Wyatt façade setting the structural rhythm of the new building.
The new building is set to open in 2017.
