Work on Stirling scheme set to begin next autumn
Scottish housebuilder Springfield Properties has received planning permission to build a village containing 3,042 homes at Durieshill, near Stirling.
The project, which is conditional on reaching a planning gain agreement with Stirling council, is the fourth village scheme that Springfield has had approved, and the largest so far.
The housebuilder said the scheme (pictured), set on a 593-acre site, will have a development value of 拢650m and take 20 years to complete.
In addition, Springfield plans to build a primary school, secondary school and library, a 30-unit care facility for the elderly and commercial properties.
Work on the site should start in the autumn with a view to the first homeowners moving in during 2022.
