Fletcher Priest-designed building scheduled to complete in autumn 2013 with work to begin immediately
Skanska has been appointed to a 拢50m tower development in the City of London.
The 16-storey building, designed by Fletcher Priest, is scheduled for completion in autumn 2013, and work will start immediately on behalf of client Bevis Marks Development.
Skanska has assembled an in-house team to cover construction, service installations, piling and foundations and utilities.
The development will include retail areas, a basement, basement mezzanine, ground floor and 15 upper floors totaling 22,000m2.
The scheme will be constructed to a BREEAM 鈥渆xcellent鈥 rating, and Skanska plans to incorporate features including combined heat and power generation, rainwater harvesting systems, energy saving lighting systems and condensing boilers.
Paul Heather, managing director of Skanska鈥檚 好色先生TV London and South-east operating unit, said: 鈥淐redit must be given to all parties involved in this project for their persistence over the past months to ensure we have reached contract award.
