Appointment is one of five announced by new CEO Gregor Craig
Skanska UK has appointed a new building boss to fill the vacancy left by the promotion of Gregor Craig to chief executive.
Katy Dowding (pictured) has been promoted to the role of executive vice president with responsibility for Skanska鈥檚 building operations, including SRW engineering services.
Dowding has been at Skanska for 14 years and was most recently managing director for the firm鈥檚 facilities management business for five years. Prior to joining Skanska she was with Tarmac, later Carillion, for 15 years.
Skanska also announced a number of other senior level appointments. Adam McDonald succeeds Dowding as managing director of Skanska鈥檚 facilities management business, while Terry Elphick takes on a new role as managing director for the company鈥檚 work at Battersea Power Station, where it is working on phase two, the restoration and redevelopment of the crumbling Grade II-listed power station itself.
Cameron Foley succeeds Elphick as managing director of Skanska鈥檚 building operations outside London, while Jon Morris, currently technical director for Cementation Skanska, the company鈥檚 piling and foundations business, has been appointed as its managing director on an interim basis while a permanent successor is found.
Commenting on the appointments, Craig said: 鈥淥nce again we have been able to make these important senior appointments from within Skanska and show the remarkable strength in depth we have in the company.鈥
