Tom Robinson joined collapsed contractor in 2014
The chief executive of collapsed firm Simons Group has stepped down as a director, Companies House records show.
Tom Robinson was appointed to the role five years ago, moving across from Carillion where he spent more than 20 years first joining the firm when it was known as Tarmac in the early 1990s.
Documents filed at Companies House show Robinson (pictured) stepped down as a director at Simons Group on 31 October – two days after the firm called in administrator FRP Advisory.
Three directors remain at the business, including executive chairman Paul Hodgkinson and his younger brother, deputy chairman Philip Hodgkinson. The third director is listed as Philip Kendall.
In its last set of accounts, Simons posted a pre-tax profit of £704,000 on turnover of £104.5m in the year to March 2018.
