Asbestos firm's profits reach 拢800,000 while turnover rises to 拢6m

Asbestos removal consultant Silverdell has reported a seven-fold increase in pre-tax profit to 拢800,000 in its interim results.

Silverdell reported pre-tax profit of 拢800,000 for the six months to 31 March 2007, compared with 拢100,000 in the previous six months. Turnover rose to 拢15.6m from 拢6.0m over the period, during which the company bought consultant Redhill for a consideration of up to 拢10.3m.

The results are the company鈥檚 first full set of interims since its flotation on the AIM in July 2006.
