ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV and Saint-Gobain survey finds pulling back from green agenda in current economic climate
Clients have pulled back from pushing ahead with sustainable plans in the current economic downturn, a joint ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV/Saint-Gobain survey has found.
Nearly two thirds of those surveyed the focus on sustainable construction had decreased in the wake of the economic downturn. And of the cross section of industry professionals surveyed 58% said that clients won't pay more for sustainable construction solutions.
The survey did point to greener shoots in the future - 96% believed sustainability would be a higher priority in five years time than now.
The survey questioned 786 professionals across the sector last month - 38% were architects while 16% were surveyors. For the full results see the slideshow below.
