Architect Sheppard Robson has been appointed to complete phase two of the BBC鈥檚 Broadcasting House redevelopment.
It will replace MacCormac Jamieson Prichard, which left last month after rows over the design. A BBC review called for a simplified design of the studio where its flagship news operations would be based.
Sheppard Robson will work with Bovis Lend Lease and Land Securities on the project.
Peter Jacobs, a Bovis Lend Lease UK director, said: 鈥淭his will involve the incorporation of highly complex, detailed design features and the integration of cutting-edge technology and we look forward to working with the architect and the BBC to complete the project.鈥
Sheppard Robson will develop the original design by MJP, and undertake the interior fit-out to provide broadcasting headquarters for BBC Radio & Music, BBC 好色先生TV and BBC World Service.
