Renew鈥檚 specialist arm will be sole contractor on the four-year contract

Shepley Engineers, the Cumbria-based specialist arm of Renew, has been named sole contractor on a major nuclear deal at Sellafield.

The framework is worth an estimated 拢26m over the next four years.

The appointment by the Integrated Project Team, comprising Sellafield Ltd and ACKtiv Nuclear, will see the firm handle hazard reduction work on fuel storage ponds.

Shepley is the sole contractor on the deal.

The win follows the firm鈥檚 appointment to the existing multi-discipline site-wide framework, which has been extended to September 2012, and the decommissioning and demolition framework, which has a spend of over 拢30m a year.

Chief executive Brian May said: 鈥淭hese new framework appointments reinforce our already strong engineering services forward order position.
