Keepmoat, HT Forrest and Henry Boot among contractors appointed to refurbishment framework
Keepmoat, HT Forrest, Henry Boot and Seddon Construction are among seven contractors appointed to a new housing refurbishment framework by public sector procurement consortium Fusion21.
Focusing on high-rise tower refurbishment for local authorities and social housing in the UK, the framework plans to bring existing, underused or underinvested stock back into full use, maximising their value.
The framework, which also includes Bullock, Lawtech and P Casey, is expected to be worth 拢300m over the next four years.
These tower blocks are, according to Fusion21, are still 鈥渁 good way of housing a lot of people in a small space鈥, even if it isn鈥檛 cheap to restore them.
The framework covers any works related to these multi-storey blocks, including the supply and installation of materials and is also available for either direct call-off or call-off after a mini competition between appointed contractors.
Work is already being commission through the framework by Golden Gates Housing Trust for Kingsway House in Warrington.
