Shard developer plans 750,000 sq ft redevelopment of Paddington statino
Sellar is drawing up plans to redevelop Paddington Station, .
Sellar – the developer behind London’s Shard and London Bridge Quarter – is reported to be in talks with stakeholders including government bodies Network Rail, Transport for London, the Post Office and Greater London Authority, as well as several private landowners, over proposals for a mixed-use scheme totalling around 750,000 sq ft.
Property Week understands the scheme will comprise new shops and restaurants at the station, as well as residential and possibly office units on a site east of the station  — between Praed Street and South Wharf Road — which is owned by the Post Office.
Sellar is hoping to reach a development agreement, to include arrangements for any necessary acquisition of the land, with the government by autumn.
Architects have yet to be appointed.
