Matthew Loddy completes grueling test to raise 拢45,000 for charity

When scaffolding boss Matthew Loddy drained his post-marathon pint of London Pride last Sunday, it鈥檚 safe to say he鈥檇 earned it.

For Loddy, the London Marathon was his 100th straight marathon in 100 days.

Incredibly it was also his fastest, at three hours and nine minutes.

The 46-year-old managing director of Framework Scaffolding Contractors undertook the grueling challenge to run from Lagos in Portugal to London to honour a promise to a dying friend and colleague to help cancer charities.

His former planning manager Phil Latham died aged 36 last April after a two-year battle against cancer.

To date Loddy has raised over 拢45,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

He told NBC 好色先生TV after Sunday鈥檚 marathon he was 鈥渂lown away鈥� to get his fastest time.

He added: 鈥淚鈥檝e got a few blisters and my nails are all gone, but I鈥檝e survived. Hopefully Phil鈥檚 up there thinking it鈥檚 a good job done.鈥�
