Civil engineering company Safeway Excavations has launched a legal battle against building contractor Taylor Wimpey Development
Safeway carried out work for Taylor Wimpey on projects at three developments: the Towers Humberstone Leicester, Oakley Vale Corby, and the Hilton hotel in Derby.
Disputes arose between the two sides over payment, and after discussions, they agreed to settle the disagreement, with Taylor Wimpey paying £205,000.
But Safeway has now accused Taylor Wimpey of failing to pay the money, which it says should have been paid by 7 May 2008. Safeway is suing Taylor Wimpey for the £205,000, as well as interest of £1,213.15, and continuing interest of £44.93 a day.
