Architect launches range of new research initiatives to build on its 60th celebration
Ryder Architecture has launched a range of fresh research initiatives as part of its 60th birthday celebrations.
The practice said the four strands of research emerged from its philosophy of multidisciplinary design and collaboration.
The initiatives are:
- AzuKo: a public interest design initiative to improve lives through community driven, research based design initiatives in areas with limited assets including projects in Bangladesh exploring indigenous earthen house materials
- Further development in BIM research providing 鈥渃radle to grave鈥� practical solutions to meet the unique challenges being faced in the global adoption of BIM in facilities and asset management
- Design for ageing populations with a major residential scheme for over 55s in St John鈥檚 Wood developing research into The Emerging Third Age and dementia sufferers
- A pan-industry education campaign with Laing O鈥橰ourke, Cundall, Gleeds and key universities to radically transform education in the built environment
