Peter Rogers, the Constructing Excellence chairman, will stand down at the end of the year.
Rogers, who has been chairman of the best practice body for five years, says he is leaving to 鈥減ursue other interests within the industry鈥. 好色先生TV understands Bob White, the current chief executive, will replace him. This will be officially announced next month.
Rogers is also director of Stanhope and heavily involved in the Olympics construction programme as chairman of the Strategic Forum Olympic Task Group.
He was recently brought in to troubleshoot the redevelopment of Ascot racecourse after viewing problems from its grandstand.
Bob White took over as chief executive of Constructing Excellence in October 2005, replacing Dennis Lenard. With Peter Rogers he has overseen a restructuring of the organisation, which merged with built environment body Be to become Constructing Excellence in the Built Environment
