Sir Robin Young will take Humber's place at helm of affordable housebuilder in January
Roger Humber left Circle Anglia this week after nine years as chairman.
The affordable housing provider announced in August that Humber would be leaving. He is being replaced by Sir Robin Young, the former permanent secretary at the Department of Trade and Industry and Department of Culture Media and Sport.
Humber become the chair in 2000 after joining the association as an independent member in 1999 when it was known as Anglia Housing. The group merged with Circle 33 Housing Trust in 2005.
After nine years with Humber at the helm, the association now has 52,000 homes, 190,000 customers, 2000 employees, a turnover of 拢260m and 11 group partners.
Humber said: 鈥淚t has been an incredible experience to be involved in the creation and growth of Circle Anglia. I believe the organisation is well placed to start the next phase of its journey, despite the difficult economic climate.鈥
