The firm acted as QS and CDM co-ordinators on the 拢17m stage two project fit-out works.

The firm helped transform the former 1920鈥檚 dining block to a new office and catering facility now known as Bournville Place.

The building is the new public face for Cadbury.

Weedon Partnership and Morey Smith were architects on the project.

The fit-out incorporated a new entrance on the south fa莽ade.

A dramatic atrium now accommodates the building鈥檚 reception, meeting and caf茅 facilities, as well as glass lifts which link all floors and the west-facing terrace.

The scheme was praised by judges for the simple efficiency of the atrium, and the successful fusion of old and new to create a 鈥榗alm鈥 building which has made a positive contribution to the street scene.

Mark Weaver, RLB managing partner, said: 鈥淭he creation of this high-quality flexible office is integral to our client鈥檚 strategic property plan for the Bournville site, and so it is particularly rewarding to our practice that such a commercially significant project has also been recognised for its value to the public realm.鈥

The project is also set to be shortlisted for a British Council for Offices award.
