New plans for controversial east London site include an extra office building
Revised plans for Bishopsgate Goodsyard in east London have been released following a consultation process that resulted in criticism from local residents. The Hammerson-Ballymore joint venture is adding an extra office building to generate 250,000ft2 of employment space, while the design of the office buildings has also been revised. Amends to the proposed residential blocks include a reduction in height equivalent to six storeys, with a loss of 108 units in the buildings, which will now use more brick than glass in their design.
