Prominent member of regeneration industry who previously led BURA mourned by colleagues at Urban Land Institute
The former chief executive of the British Urban Regeneration Association (BURA), Jon Ladd, passed away on Sunday after a short illness.
Ladd, who in 2007 moved to be chief operating officer of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, was just 45 when he died.
ULI worldwide president Richard Rosan said that Ladd was a 鈥渨onderful team member鈥 who helped to improve and expand the institute鈥檚 organisational efficiency.
鈥淲e are deeply saddened over Jon鈥檚 passing. He was an outstanding individual who immediately became a core member of our staff,鈥 Rosan said.
William Kistler, ULI president for for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said that the loss has left a 鈥渉uge void in the ULI team鈥. He added: 鈥淛on was exceptionally generous in giving his time and good advice as both a colleague and a friend.鈥
Ladd worked at regeneration trade association BURA since 2000, during which time the profile of the sector increased hugely. He was appointed chief executive in 2002.
Ladd is survived by his former wife, Liz, and his daughter, Daisy.
