Firms celebrate developer and contractor wins while HOK is recognised for transformation of the Dome into O2 Arena
Over 900 people celebrated the skills and expertise of Britain’s building professionals last night at the fourth Regeneration Awards.
The Awards at Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane saw Higgins and Urban Splash pick up two awards, and Roger Madelin win the Regeneration Leadership Award
Higgins Construction was named Regeneration Contractor of the Year and picked up the Best Community Regeneration Project Award for the Market Estate & Caledonian Park in North London.
As well as Urban Splash being awarded the Regeneration Developer of the Year by host Jo Brand it also won Regeneration Partnership of the Year with Great Places Housing Group.
There were celebrations on the tables occupied by HOK as it was recognised for its transformation of the Dome into the 02 Arena. It won the award for the most Challenging Regeneration Project of the Year and the Arena was named the Best Commercial-led Project of the Year.
Regeneration Architect of the Year was Pollard Thomas Edwards Architects while Best Housing Led Regeneration Project was won by HTA Architects. Foster and Partners’ regeneration of Dresden Station was recognised as International Project of the Year.
Midas Homes triumphed in the Best Housebuilder category, while Newlon Housing Trust was recognised as the Housing Association Regenerator of the Year. Regeneration Consultant of the Year was PRP.
The awards hosted by Jo Brand were followed by an after-show party and casino.
