Tony Douglas will replace O'Rourke's seat on the board of Olympic delivery partner
Ray O鈥橰ourke, chairman and chief executive officer of the Laing O鈥橰ourke Group, is standing down as CLM chairman with immediate effect.
He will be replaced on the consortium鈥檚 board by Tony Douglas, Laing O鈥橰ourke chief operating officer, who joined the company from Heathrow Airport in the summer.
CLM, which comprises CH2M HILL, Laing O鈥橰ourke and Mace, is working with the Olympic Delivery Authority to project manage construction of venues and infrastructure for the 2012 games.
A CLM spokesperson said O鈥橰ourke wanted to concentrate on international growth for his business.
Lee McIntire, president and chief operating officer of CH2M HILL, said: 鈥淩ay has provided excellent leadership and experience to CLM in the early stages of this historic programme. We know Tony will bring the same high standards as we all work to deliver our work for the UK.鈥
