Consulting engineer Ramboll Whitbybird is targeting developing markets to combat the recession
At the release of its Danish parent company鈥檚 full-year results, chief executive Mike Crane said the company was 鈥渁ctively strengthening the business through diversification into other service areas and building credentials in new markets鈥.
He pointed to recent wins in Libya, including the 拢1.5bn Green Mountains coast masterplan, a 165km-long eco development.
Group pre-tax profit was up 13% from 315.1 krone (拢37.7m) in 2007 to 357.7m krone (拢42.8m) while turnover jumped 19% from 4739.6 krone (拢568.4m) to 5,639.8 krone (拢676m). The margin was down from 6.6% to 6.3%.
