Industry heavyweight joins from Arcadis
Ramboll has hired Mathew Riley as its new UK managing director.
Riley (pictured) joins from Arcadis, where he spent seven years and was most recently the firm鈥檚 managing director for the infrastructure, industry and utility sectors in the UK, Europe and Middle East.
Riley replaces Ramboll鈥檚 acting UK managing director Robert Arpe, who took on the role last September from Steve Canadine. Canadine joined Mott MacDonald in April as development director for environment.
Before his stint at Arcadis, Riley was commercial director at Laing O鈥橰ourke and also worked as supply chain director for BAA.
Commenting on the appointment of Riley, Ramboll鈥檚 group executive director and UK chairman, S酶ren Holm Johansen, said: 鈥淲e are delighted to welcome someone of Mathew鈥檚 calibre to Ramboll.
鈥淲e are committed to expanding our business in the UK and Mathew鈥檚 considerable expertise and experience in the industry will help us to achieve this aim.鈥
Riley said he was 鈥渆xcited鈥 to join Ramboll and to begin 鈥渆ngaging鈥 with the firm鈥檚 clients.
