Consulting engineer predicts continuing growth with order book up 29%
Engineering firm Hyder Consulting today reported a 38% rise in pre-tax profit in its full-year results and said it is confident of further growth.
The company posted adjusted profit before tax of 拢14.4m for the year to 31 March 2008, up from 拢10.4m for the same period last year.
Revenue was up 15% on 2007 to 拢233.7m, almost half of which was generated by the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.
The firm, which completed six acquisitions during the year, including Dubai-based architect Holford & Associates, said its order book has increased by 29% to a record 拢314m.
Alan Thomas, chairman of Hyder Consulting, said: 鈥淚 am pleased to report another year of strong growth for the group, with results well ahead of last year and ahead of market expectations.

He added that the board is 鈥渃onfident鈥 of further progress this year and is well placed to grow in international markets.
