Hopkins Architects has posted a 4% fall in pre-tax profit from 拢1.82m to 拢1.75m in the year ended 31 March 2008.

Despite the slight drop, which was the result of higher administrative expenses, turnover jumped 27% from 拢8m to 拢10.1m.

In documents filed at Companies House this week, the company said it was a 鈥渟atisfactory鈥� performance.

The group ended the year with net funds of 拢2.2m, which was 8% down on the previous year鈥檚 figure of 拢2.4m.

The UK contributed 拢8.5m to turnover, Europe 拢1.3m and the rest of the world 拢327,000.

The pay of the highest-paid director rose 5% from 拢196,000 to 拢205,500. The average number of employees rose from 103 to 110.
