Bedfordshire housing project will create 23 dwellings for key workers
Plans have been submitted to build more than 20 modular starter homes in Bedfordshire aimed at key workers in the county.
Designed by architect Bill Dunster, the 23 Zedpod homes (pictured) will be built off-site and erected on land owned by Central Bedfordshire College in the heart of Dunstable.
Once planning is granted the college and Zedpod, who are jointly developing the scheme, hope to be able to start installing the energy-efficient units within six months.
The affordable one and two-bedroomed homes are aimed at nurses, teachers and firefighters, will come with white goods and some furniture already installed and cost between 拢80,000 and 拢120,000 to build.
