Residential Securites Ltd is looking to redevelop the former chemical works site in Leeds
Residential Securities Ltd has submitted proposals for the regeneration of the former Yorkshire Chemicals site on Kirkstall Road.
The firm on behalf of Clyde Ltd plans to develop the vacant two hectare brownfield site, which has lain derelict since 2006, into over 1,000 residential units in several blocks ranging from seven to 14 storeys.
The site, known as City Reach will include 574 private rental homes, 234 student rooms with 20,000 sq ft of commercial space at ground floor level. The new development will also provide 130m of riverside frontage on the River Aire.
The project team includes architect RTKL-UK, cost consultant Arcadis, structural engineer Fairhurst and M&E engineer Hoare Lea.
