Scheme was originally planned at 30 storeys
PLP鈥檚 plans for a 22-storey hotel-led development in Stratford have been approved by the London Legacy Development Corporation.
The practice won LLDC backing for a previous version of its Stratford Collective proposals in 2017 鈥 when the scheme ranged in height from four to 19 storeys and was focused on providing co-living units and incubator space for new firms.
LLDC planning officers then recommended approval for a new incarnation of the scheme which features a 287-bed hotel and 768sq m of co-working and incubator space.
PLP drew up proposals for a 30-storey tower that were lodged in 2015, only to be radically reworked
LLDC planning officers said PLP鈥檚 latest design 鈥 which is 11m taller than the scheme approved in 2017 鈥 followed the 鈥渟ame principles鈥 as the earlier scheme for the site, which is next to the Builder鈥檚 Arms pub.
