Decision over 30,000-seat stadium now rests with the secretary of state
Bristol City FC鈥檚 new 拢60m stadium has received a 鈥渕inded to approve鈥 verdict from the local council鈥檚 planning committee and has now been referred to the secretary of state who will decide whether to call in the application or not.
With Bristol being named as one of 12 potential host cities as part of England鈥檚 2018 bid, the new stadium will have a 30,000 capacity which could be expanded to 42,000 if England hosts the World Cup in 2018.
Capita Symonds is providing project and cost management.
