Appeal is lodged against High Court injunction stopping demolition work on the 300m City of London tower
The team behind the 300m Pinnacle tower in the City of London has appealed against the High Court injunction on vibration brought by neighbouring business Hiscox Insurance. The injunction is expected to delay demolition on the site by at least two months.
A lawyer acting for the parties behind the £500m Pinnacle tower said it had lodged a notice of appeal against the injunction it received on 25 January, which is expected to delay demolition by at least two months.
The appeal is the latest action in an ongoing case brought by Hiscox insurance, which said noise and vibration from demolition work on the tower is adversely affecting business and staff.
It is not known whether a full trial will go ahead or if the parties will reach a settlement.
Charles Dupplin, Hiscox chairman of art & private client division, last week said there had been a water ingress in the building on 6 February and it was discussing with lawyers whether there had been a breach.
Demolition work by Keltbray is currently underway and Mace is undertaking project management.
