NLA chairman Peter Murray suffers a puctured lung and broken bones after an accident during a charity cycling event in Brussels
Peter Murray, the chairman of the New London Architecture, is recovering in hospital after pucturing his lung and breaking several bones when he fell off his bicycle in Brussels where he was taking part in ride to raise money for charity.
Murray sent out a message on last night recounting the details of his accident and injuries. He tweeted: 鈥淕reat cycling thru Belgium until I hit a kerb at 30kph and now I鈥檓 in a Brussels hospital with five broken ribs and a punctured lung!!鈥
Murray was on the 275km ride with 70 other cyclists over the weekend to raise money for the Wellington Appeal, a charity that supports and enables research into Type 1 diabetes. He is expected to return to the UK today.
