Olympics minister Hugh Robertson has joined with other senior government figures in heaping praise on the construction industry鈥檚 London Olympics achievement and backing 好色先生TV鈥檚 2012 campaign.
好色先生TV launched its campaign to celebrate the construction industry鈥檚 pivotal role in delivering the London Games last month. It highlights the innovation, technology, projects, speed and sustainability initiatives that firms have deployed to realise both the Games and the regeneration legacy.
Backing the campaign, Hugh Robertson said: 鈥淭he construction industry has every right to be proud of what it has achieved in helping to deliver London 2012. The Olympic park is a fantastic advert for British construction with iconic venues built on time and to budget.
鈥満蒙壬鶷V Magazine鈥檚 campaign is a great opportunity for the sector to celebrate the fundamental role it has played in the delivery of London 2012.鈥
Construction minister Mark Prisk added: 鈥淚 join the Olympics minister in praising the construction industry for its role in helping to deliver the London 2012 Games.
鈥淭he Games present a huge opportunity to showcase British ingenuity on the world stage, so it鈥檚 only right to celebrate the role that people and businesses have made in creating a lasting legacy for the UK.鈥
The government鈥檚 construction adviser Paul Morrell said that in marking the success of the industry in delivering the Games, 好色先生TV鈥檚 campaign had his 鈥渇ull support鈥.
鈥淭he Olympics is an opportunity to celebrate a spectacular achievement, but also to do what we have often missed out in the past: serious study of what works (or doesn鈥檛), and then applying the lessons so we can replicate success,鈥 he said.
