The new humanities building at Queen Mary, University of London has been given planning permission.
The scheme, designed by Wilkinson Eyre, includes a 300-seat auditorium and a drama studio, plus teaching and research space for the history department. Environmental plans include ground-source heat pumps and natural ventilation for the upper floors. Arup is the structural engineer on the project and PSP Construction Consultants the project manager.
