Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas鈥 practice will employ about 25 architects and urban planners in new office

Office of Metropolitan Architecture, the Dutch architectural practice led by Rem Koolhaas, is continuing its push into Asia with a new office in Hong Kong.

The office will employ about 25 architects and urban planners, and will be managed by David Gianotten, who joined OMA in 2008. Gianotten has previously overseen projects including the 200,000m虏 Shenzhen Stock Exchange in China, which is scheduled for completion in 2011.

The office will also be working on the design development of the Taipei Performing Arts Centre 鈥 OMA鈥檚 competition-winning scheme for a new theatre complex in the heart of Taipei.

The practice already has offices in offices in Beijing and New York and is headquartered in Rotterdam.
