Ann Priest will lead university's School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment
Nottingham Trent University has appointed Ann Priest pro vice-chancellor and head of the College of Art and Design and Built Environment.
She is currently dean of the university鈥檚 School of Art and Design, a position she has held since joining the institution in October 2006.
Priest replaces Prof Simon Lewis, who retired in December.
In addition to leading the college 鈥 which includes the university鈥檚 School of Art and Design and School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment 鈥 she will have responsibility for student affairs across the university.
Priest said: 鈥淚t will enable me to continue to play a key role in helping to maintain our status as a leading university, with an enviable reputation for education, research and graduate employability.鈥
She also has significant experience in the fashion industry having worked for a variety of fashion houses.
Priest was head of Fashion Design and Marketing at the University of East London as well as dean of the London College of Fashion for 13 years prior to joining Nottingham Trent University.
