Cumbria-based Story Contracting comes out top in performance delivery league table
Network Rail’s suppliers have been ranked in a performance delivery table with Cumbria-based Story Contracting coming out top.
The PRISM rankings, based on the four-week period until 12 January, measuring contracts valued above £50,000 and more than three periods in duration, also showed engineer Mott MacDonald and engineering contractor B&M McHugh among the top performers.
However, a joint venture between Colas Rail and Morgan Sindall performed relatively poorly as did Amey, Invensys Rail and Atkins (attached, right).
Network Rail is currently considering how the data will be used including rewards for the best performing firms and possible exclusion of the worst.
The scores take account of a wide range of issues including safety, design and performance, occupational health and project management.
