Neil Murphy MBE, the editor of ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV from 1974-84, passed away last week aged 74 after a year-long battle with cancer

Glaswegian Murphy, born Cornelius McCaffrey Murphy, went on to become managing director of the Builder Group, ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV’s then parent company. He was awarded an MBE for services to the building industry in 1982. He is survived by his first wife, Joan, and two daughters from their marriage, and by his second wife, Carmel, and their two sons as well as three step-daughters.
