Someone has stepped forward to claim the 拢200,000 found by contractors in an air vent in the Birmingham Beetham Tower

Police have confirmed that someone has come forward to claim 拢200,000 found by two workers in the Beetham Tower in Birmingham.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said somebody claiming the money had made themselves known to the police.

Two Polish workers found the cash while working on air conditioning in a luxury apartment on the 26th floor.

West Midlands Police subsequently seized a 鈥渟ubstantial amount of cash鈥� following a search of the property.

The 29-storey Beetham Tower is the tallest residential tower in Birmingham.
