Specifers can now access a new support service from a team of building products experts and search products easier online

  • EPSE, European Polycarbonate Sheet Extruders, is currently working with the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) to create European Norms for Polycarbonate (PC) sheet and establish a CE-Mark for these products. The work is on CEN TC 128: 鈥淩oof covering products for discontinuous laying and products for wall cladding鈥 to realise two of the EN鈥檚 to cover solid PC sheet (prEN16240) and multiwall PC sheet (prEN16153). These standards are expected to be published during 2013.
  • Jewson has launched a new website, which the company says is designed with its customers鈥 ease of use and access to in-depth information in mind. The website is integrated with Jewson鈥檚 product catalogue, featuring a broad range of products including general building materials such as thermal insulation, cladding rolls and plasterboard. The firm says the website also contains specifically designed sections for house builders, self builders and those working on public sector projects.
  • Hanson has launched a new support service which provides specifiers with access to a team of technical building products experts; by telephone, email or instant messaging. The company鈥檚 Walling Solutions Technical Centre offers knowledge across aspects of structural design advice, construction practice, sustainability and product specification.   • Knauf Insulation has re-launched its UK website, which the company says offers a clean look with quicker and easier navigation. A 鈥渕obile-first鈥 approach has been taken to ensure information is easily accessible on all devices, and the site automatically scales and adapts its content based on the visitor鈥檚 device. Knauf Insulation鈥檚 latest edition of Insulation Solutions for 好色先生TVs, a guide to sustainable, thermal, acoustic and fire protection systems, is also available in an interactive format, which can be accessed via the new website.
