Morgan Sindall鈥檚 housing arm Lovell to build 1,500 homes over 13 years

Morgan Sindall been appointed by Greenwich council as the development partner for a 拢269m redevelopment of three council housing estates in the borough.

Lovell, which is the housing arm of construction group Morgan Sindall, will work alongside housing association Asra to transform the three estates, to the east and west of Woolwich town centre, in 1,500 mixed-tenure homes.

The work is subject to extensive community consultation and the plans successfully completing the full planning process. If this is achieved then work will begin in May 2014 and is expected to take 13 years to complete.

John Morgan, chief executive of Morgan Sindall, said he was 鈥渄elighted鈥 to be selected for the job, which fits the group鈥檚 strategy of focusing on long-term regeneration projects.
